I am pleased to highlight JK Lakshmi Cement Ltd.’s unwavering commitment to sustainability, a fundamental pillar of our business ethos. Our notable achievements include the promotion of LNG trucks to reduce CO₂ emissions, achieving a water positivity level of 4X with a target of 5X by 2025, and striving for a Thermal Substitution Rate (TSR) of 20% by 2030. Additionally, we achieved 37% renewable energy usage in FY 2022–23, supported by the installation of floating solar panels, a pioneering initiative in the Indian cement industry. Our dedication to sustainability extends further, with a firm commitment to achieving net-zero targets by 2047. We actively engage with esteemed global agencies and industry associations such as UNGC, SBTi, RE100, EP100 and GCCA, to validate and continually reduce our greenhouse gas emissions. This ensures that our operations align with the highest environmental standards, reflecting our proactive stance in contributing to a greener and more sustainable future.
